After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UBC, Dr. Fran went on to complete his General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Centre in New York and specialized Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Minnesota.

He has a special interest in supporting anxious patients and using minimally invasive dentistry techniques. Oftentimes, the source of fear in children is deemed insignificant and consequently overlooked — Dr. Fran takes great joy in finding that source of fear and anxiety and working with it. His belief is that creating positive dental experiences for children helps to create good dental habits for life.

Dr. Kumar began her dental journey in India before moving to Minnesota, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). While practicing general dentistry in the United States, she discovered her true passion—caring for children and bringing smiles to their faces. This inspired her to pursue advanced training in pediatric dentistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver.

Known for her warm sense of humor, Dr. Kumar has a talent for making children feel at ease in the dental chair. She is equally passionate about empowering parents through education, fostering open discussions, and addressing any concerns to ensure families feel confident about their child’s oral health.

Since moving to Vancouver, Dr. Kumar has embraced the beauty of the outdoors and enjoys exploring local hiking trails. When she’s not in the clinic, you can find her cooking, playing board games, or spending quality time with her husband and baby boy.

Meet Dr. Michelle Li, a dedicated pediatric dentist with a passion for creating positive dental experiences for children. After her graduation from Boston University, she continued her education at the University of Rochester, completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program and earning a Masters in Professional Health Education.

Having had the rewarding opportunity to practice dentistry with children in Singapore, Dr. Li found her calling in pediatric dentistry. Motivated by this experience, she returned to her hometown and completed a Pediatric Dentistry residency program at the University of British Columbia, achieving a Masters in Craniofacial Science.

Dr. Li is committed to going the extra mile to understand the unique needs of both parents and children. She believes in making dental visits enjoyable and playful while ensuring optimal oral health. Driven by this belief, she strives to create a positive and comforting dental environment for young patients.

In her free time, Dr. Li enjoys staying active through running and hiking, as well as exploring new destinations with her family and friends. Your child’s dental health and experience are in caring and capable hands with Dr. Michelle Li.
